VOLUNTEERS FOR HEALTH AWARD 2010
Volunteering is a powerful force impacting the demands on
healthcare. Organizations represented by the members of the
Volunteers for Health Committee and the Tampa Bay
Healthcare Collaborative improve the health and safety of
communities by organizing and utilizing teams of local
volunteers, medical and public health professionals to contribute
their skills and expertise.
In honor of these volunteers we are launching a Volunteer
Recognition and Appreciation Award. Quarterly, one
volunteer will be selected from both Hillsborough and Pinellas
Counties, for their contributions to the field of healthcare in the
Tampa Bay area.
These awards will recognize those whose
lives have an impact on the quality and/or availability of health
services locally, thus improving the quality of life for many in
our community.
